The Supreme contactless bin-level indicator measures the distance to or presence of a target object or material through the air without touching it. It can be used in industries to monitor liquid levels in tanks, vats, drums, bins, lift stations, flumes, weirs, and stilling tubes. It detects the fill level regardless of what has been placed inside. It automatically adapts to changing surfaces and different kinds of substances.
The measured distance is output on a variety of standard electrical interfaces that are compatible with displays, machinery, PLCs, computers, and the majority of electronic or electrical machinery.
Contactless sensors have distinct advantages in challenging environments where corrosive, scaling, coating, or dirty materials are likely to negatively impact the performance and maintenance costs of contact sensors. Contactless sensors are also desirable where the material being measured cannot be corrupted by contact with any measuring device.
